Cat eyes

After some time off (and not out of choice) I am back with this cat eye eyeliner look. I have not exaggerated the eyeliner too much I may do an exaggerated eyeliner one day in the near future. I’m all about manipulating products to accentuate features. Whether it be light and dark to create depth in a person’s features in this case I have used eyeliner to make my eyes appear larger. As I have really small eyes. For the liner  the inner corners I extended the eyeliner right above my tear duct and connected a small point below the tear duct as well as extending my eyeliner further on the outer corner of my eyes. N.B This look would not compliment someone with close-set eyes.   And for added pizzazz (lol) I’m wearing Solotica lenses.

Bridal Make Up

When bridal make up is concerned there is are so many options to go for, conventionally clients prefer a natural look.

For a more natural look, I do encourage my clients to have something accentuated whether it be the lips or eyes or even skin and contour.

For this look in particular I worked on the skin and winged eyeliner. There are no rules when bridal make up is concerned and for a vintage liner and hair, this particular eye make up compliments ALL eyes, even hooded eyes.

As I have an issue with my mega small eyes I feel comfortable having nude eyeliner in my water line to create the illusion they are larger than what they are.

Gold and Brown Sultry Smoke

Firstly using an SLR camera is such a dream, it picks up everything though; still trying to master lighting. Obviously there is nothing more perect than natural light so please excuse the lack of light for now as I plan to have it rectified in the near future.

For Nora I used the and lorac pro palette and did an Arabian sultry smokey eye of a contrast of matte and shimmer and dark and light. Which is so complimentative to any eye shape. She already has the loveliest features and with contouring I really wanted to bring more warmth to her skin. The highlight of the cheeks matching the shimmer and highlight of her eyes it was a really eye an catching look. This make up can be worn with a nude or white eyeliner or a more dramatic liner at the bottom (because yes I am all about the drama). And seeing as I went slightly strong on the eyes I wanted to create balance in toning down her lush lips with a neutral nudey pink colour, and kept them matte also.

Vice Palette 2

Any excuse for me to get experimental and I’m there. I am loving this look I did using the Urban Decay Vice Palette 2, seeing as I’m an Urban Decay addict I find all my post so far have been about these shadows – I will change the record; I promise. Along with the naked palettes this palette has been my ‘go to’ palette, as it has colours for most occasions with it’s reasonable mixture of velvety blends and matte shadows it’s perfect. Not very often would I wear pink especially on my eyes but it looks so pretty teamed up with your not so usual gold shadow ‘Blitz’ and Pink ‘Coax’ (who comes up with these names?). The new 2014 Vice Palette is already out and cannot wait to get my mitts on that too, and with them being limited edition I waste no time in buying them.

Samer Khouzami Transformations

Being completely obsessed with Samer Khouzami’s work, in case you are not familiar with him he’s a make up artist to the Lebanese celebrities and a household name as far as social media is concerned for his epic transformations and his techniques on immaculate colour correction and manipulating light. Being a true fan of transformational make up and a strong Middle Eastern style. My client gave me a picture of his she was after for her event; and me being the glam addict any given opportunity for strong glam, Arabian and dramatic make up I am so there. Here’s the outcome.
