Strobic

For contour lovers that just cannot get the concept quite right. Strobing is the technique for you.  Strobing focuses exclusively on highlighter, I would say it is sparingly applied where light would naturally hit your face such as nose, cheeks, forehead region and chin. Dabbing on these soft, glistening shades of gold, silver or tea rose or better yet bronze shimmer will make your complexion glow, looking fresh, and healthy while giving you a dewy finish.  The best part? Your skin won’t feel suffocated by layers of makeup in the heatwaves of the sun because you’re only using one extra product. But try it for yourself…

For this look in particular I used the nars bronzer and highlighter, keeping the rest of my make up minimal. The Dubai heat is not to be messed with.

My favourite products for strobing at the moment are:

Bobby brown Shimmer bricks

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed powder

Nars Albatros Highlighting glow

Mac Cosmetics Strobe Cream

Mac Cosmetics Fix +

Vice Palette 2

Any excuse for me to get experimental and I’m there. I am loving this look I did using the Urban Decay Vice Palette 2, seeing as I’m an Urban Decay addict I find all my post so far have been about these shadows – I will change the record; I promise. Along with the naked palettes this palette has been my ‘go to’ palette, as it has colours for most occasions with it’s reasonable mixture of velvety blends and matte shadows it’s perfect. Not very often would I wear pink especially on my eyes but it looks so pretty teamed up with your not so usual gold shadow ‘Blitz’ and Pink ‘Coax’ (who comes up with these names?). The new 2014 Vice Palette is already out and cannot wait to get my mitts on that too, and with them being limited edition I waste no time in buying them.
