Bridal Glam

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with this beauty. No trial just TRUST and the results were phenomenal. She was so pleased with the results despite multiple changes as you can see this was her last … Continue reading

Moroccan Bridal – Amira (The Princess)

This look is a personal favourite of mine, and can suit any girl wanting to look and feel special for her big day. In contrast to the traditional Moroccan chedda look we saw in the previous blogpost. The Amira look would consist of less accessories, brighter colours worn, and softer makeup and hair. Enjoy the video below. Please take the time to like and subscribe. Thank you x

Strobic

For contour lovers that just cannot get the concept quite right. Strobing is the technique for you.  Strobing focuses exclusively on highlighter, I would say it is sparingly applied where light would naturally hit your face such as nose, cheeks, forehead region and chin. Dabbing on these soft, glistening shades of gold, silver or tea rose or better yet bronze shimmer will make your complexion glow, looking fresh, and healthy while giving you a dewy finish.  The best part? Your skin won’t feel suffocated by layers of makeup in the heatwaves of the sun because you’re only using one extra product. But try it for yourself…

For this look in particular I used the nars bronzer and highlighter, keeping the rest of my make up minimal. The Dubai heat is not to be messed with.

My favourite products for strobing at the moment are:

Bobby brown Shimmer bricks

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed powder

Nars Albatros Highlighting glow

Mac Cosmetics Strobe Cream

Mac Cosmetics Fix +

Bridal make up

I love natural glam, keeping all my techniques for contour as soft as I possibly can get it, and complimenting my client’s every feature. I love this simple vintage glam I did for over two days for this beauty. Focusing on contour, and light eyes, and rosy lips and cheeks.

Vice Palette 2

Any excuse for me to get experimental and I’m there. I am loving this look I did using the Urban Decay Vice Palette 2, seeing as I’m an Urban Decay addict I find all my post so far have been about these shadows – I will change the record; I promise. Along with the naked palettes this palette has been my ‘go to’ palette, as it has colours for most occasions with it’s reasonable mixture of velvety blends and matte shadows it’s perfect. Not very often would I wear pink especially on my eyes but it looks so pretty teamed up with your not so usual gold shadow ‘Blitz’ and Pink ‘Coax’ (who comes up with these names?). The new 2014 Vice Palette is already out and cannot wait to get my mitts on that too, and with them being limited edition I waste no time in buying them.

In true Throwback Thursday style I have written a post on a look I did a while back. Which is so wearable from the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette which is most shimmery and works so well with warm undertones. I … Continue reading

Samer Khouzami Transformations

Being completely obsessed with Samer Khouzami’s work, in case you are not familiar with him he’s a make up artist to the Lebanese celebrities and a household name as far as social media is concerned for his epic transformations and his techniques on immaculate colour correction and manipulating light. Being a true fan of transformational make up and a strong Middle Eastern style. My client gave me a picture of his she was after for her event; and me being the glam addict any given opportunity for strong glam, Arabian and dramatic make up I am so there. Here’s the outcome.

Wedding Season Inspiration

So spring is among us; as all of us make up artists at some stage would have been given a magazine cut out of this the beauty Kim Kardashian. I wouldn’t normally post up images of my trials but I absolutely love the make up (especially the eyes) that were achieved for her big day.  There is nothing more rewarding like seeing the smiles of a satisfied and excited bride.
